Ever since the Election Commission of Bangladesh announced local Corporation Polls in Khulna and Gazipur cities for 15 May, the political parties have now earnestly begun to prepare for the elections.

The Rohingya problem which was a local  bilateral issue between Myanmar and Bangladesh and had then become a regional issue with the Rohingya refugees spreading out of Bangladesh. 

It is now getting into international dimensions and one cannot but agree with the statement of A.M.A Muhith, the Finance Minister of Bangladesh that the Rohingya repatriation back to Myanmar will never succeed!

On many parameters Sheikh Hasina’s government is doing extremely well.  The economy is moving at around 6 percent growth.  There was a proud moment for Bangladesh when the first span of 6.15 Kilometer Padma Bridge was installed on 1st October- a project financed and executed indigenously.
